The Altadis Foundation ends up its activities

3 Julio 2017

The Group Imperial Brands has taken the decision to centralize all the social activities in its headquarters in Bristol and so dissolve the Altadis Foundation.

Since its inception in the field of the Corporate Responsibility in 2009, the Foundation has been delivering a portfolio of activities to support development in 27 countries and 4 continents.

Its projects and partnerships have been focused on the sustainable improvement of the quality of life of the most vulnerable groups by increasing their income through basic education and training or by facilitating access to basic needs such as water and health.

In Central Africa, Chad, Congo or Mali, it has supported the construction of wells and water towers, which has enabled the local population to improve its health and hygiene.

Low-income families from Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Laos and Madagascar have also benefited from food security programs.

The Altadis Foundation has funded the project "Drive your Future" which has allowed unemployed people to be trained and obtain a professional driving licence for an easier access to the labour market.

Thanks to the activities of the Foundation, more than 1 million people coming from disadvantaged groups have improved their living conditions.
